We've taken the last few years off, but for many years IBT has put on a big annual event for our kids. It is sort of like a mini carnival right on the church property: "Plinko," "Hole-in-One," "Basketball Shootout," "Duck Pond," "Face Painting..." and much, much more.
The children win tickets for coming to Sunday School each week, bringing their Bibles, and bringing visitors. The tickets are used to play games and win Kid's Day bucks to buy toys at the redemption booth.
The purpose is to reward our Sunday School children for their faithfulness in coming to Sunday School each week and to give our members an opportunity to interact with the young people. Even the oldest members of our church love this time of the year and are actively involved in this event, from donating prizes to running a booth.
